MacuLogix Announces Collaboration with ALLDocs
The Company Aims to Demonstrate Clinical and Financial Impact of Early AMD Detection Utilizing the AdaptDx
MIDDLETOWN, PA, August 22, 2016 – MacuLogix,® Inc., a pioneer in the early detection and tracking of retinal diseases, today announced it is collaborating with several ALLDocs (The Association of LensCrafters Leaseholding Doctors) members to demonstrate the clinical and financial impact of the AdaptDx® within a LensCrafters’ practice setting. MacuLogix’ AdaptDx® dark adaptometer enables early detection and monitoring of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
In addition, MacuLogix will support the ALLDocs Annual Meeting in Key Largo, FL, October 23-28, 2016 as a Silver Sponsor, where the company will share results of the collaboration and demonstrate the AdaptDx.

Adding the AdaptDx to their diagnostic toolkit will allow ALLDocs practices to detect subclinical AMD at least three years before it’s clinically evident,” said John G. The AdaptDx is the first instrument cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to provide a practical and objective measurement of dark adaptation function, which is severely impaired in age-related macular degeneration (AMD), retinitis pigmentosa (RP) and other macular degenerations. The AdaptDx has been clinically validated in numerous clinical studies involving over 1,000 patients, conducted at research centers such as Harvard University, the National Eye Institute, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Demonstrating the Clinical and Financial Impact of Early Detection
MacuLogix is working with three ALLDocs members to demonstrate how use of AdaptDx can impact patient care and satisfaction. Participants include Dennis Brtva, OD, in Peoria, IL, who has owned an AdaptDx since early 2015; Lisa Greene, OD, in Asheville, NC; and Dale Stein, OD, in Voorhees, NJ. Results from their real-world experience will be shared during the ALLDocs Annual Meeting.
